"Vinal concrete patch" is available most anywhere and it is cheap and good. It comes in a small container, about 1 pint up to a quart. It is perminant and water proof and cost a few dollars. It works on all brick and concrete.

Wellbond a good recommendation, also silicone will do the job..

Can you glue drywall to brick or concrete wall?
Mar 01, 2009 by Latricia T | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I wanted to finish my basement but I can not afford to have the someone come in and do it professionally. I have heard that you can level basement brick walls with concrete then glue drywall board to the walls. I wanted to know if this was possible and what are the disadvantages of doing this.
If you glue drywall to a masonry wall underground, you're asking for trouble. Moisture will weaken the drywall, and ultimately destroy it. You really should seal the wall with something like Drylok and then attach firring strips using some form of hardware - not glue. Since you'll have to drill masonry, either rent or buy a hammer drill or rotary hammer - believe me, you'll be glad you did.

What type of glue will adhere brass to brick?
Sep 05, 2006 by Drowningbluestars | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I want to fasten brass house numbers to the front of my house. The face of my house is brick and glueing would seem the best option. What type of glue or other substance should I use?
Love Locktite! Since you are adhering a non-pourous item to a pourous surface Liquid Nails won't hold for long outside. Locktite will bond instantly and works on non-pourous to pourous surfaces. I used it on my brass plague with my house numbers on wood and cast iron on stucco, both are still holding after 5 years!

I want to glue vilaboard straight onto a brick surface.?
Oct 08, 2007 by shadower75 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I removed some old plaster on the wall and want to replace it with vilaboard.
Does the brick surface have to spotless, very clean etc?
What kind of glue do I need to use?
Is glue ok for fixing it to the wall or do I need to screw it also?
Thanks guys
You need to get a bucket of stud adhesive and 1" ( 25mm) mickey pins, they are a small concrete nail with a washer on them. all hardware stores have them, and the stud adhesive. When u go to install sheets hold the sheet against the wall and mark the height and length with a pencil then put dobs of the stud adhesive about the size of 20cent piece around inside those marks at approx. 300mm apart, then put the sheet up and tack a few of the micky pins to hold the sheet untill the glue sets (about 1-2 hrs), keep going the same with the rest of your sheets..... but remember if you have any glue outside the sheet area, scrape it off before it dries as it sets and you will have a hard lump on wall and it will hold your sheet off the wall... happy hangin' and ciao 4 now.

Hanging Xmas lights on brick with hot glue?
Dec 09, 2008 by chrisholland93 | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I've taken the advice from postings to hang Xmas lights (C-7) on brick with hot glue/ This works great. However, when I've tried to hang the extension cord the same way it constantly pulls off the house ... even when I have glue in plenty of places along the cord. Is there a trick to making it stick better? Should I use some clips on the cord and anchor them in the glue? Thanks in advance.
equi_tye had a great solution. I used velcro to put lights around some brick arches on my house, and it worked great. I used Velcro brand strips, so they are just peel and stick. Very strong.
