NSA Recognized for Ceiling Tile Recycling

Armstrong On cloud nine Industries, Lancaster, Pa., has named the Governmental Security Activity (NSA) as its 2009 Ceiling Recycler of the Year. Over the times gone by 14 months, the ministry agency has recycled more than 400,000 unstinting feet of discarded ceiling tiles rather than sending them to a landfill, according to Armstrong.
The Armstrong bestow is designed to acknowledge companies and organizations “that write significant environmental contributions through their recycling initiatives,” says the partnership. In addition to the Ft. Meade, Md.-based NSA, other recipients recognized for recycling achievements have included Generalized Motors, Nike, Pfizer, and Wright-Patterson Air Crack Base. The 2009 presentation was presented to NSA at a proprieties at the National Cryptologic Museum.
According to Armstrong, the NSA began recycling old ceiling tiles in September of 2008 as part of the Armstrong Ceiling Recycling Program, which enables structure owners to carry ceilings from renovation projects to an Armstrong ceiling situate as an alternative to landfill disposal.
