I am looking for a good electric mop or floor steamer for my ceramic tile floors, any help?
Aug 20, 2007 by Me Me | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
I am looking for something to clean my huge kitchen/living area with. My floors are ceramic tile. I have a 1 year old and the messes are constant. I am tired of getting down on my hands and knees and scrubbing this HUGE floor.
Is there anything that has rotating bristles or something that would simulate me scrubbing the floor? If not, is there a REALLY good steamer that you would recommend? I need something that I can push along the floor easily but also something that cleans my floor really well. The Swiffer Wet Jet doesn't do what I need it to do. Any help?
Here's a web site with some cleaners....Good Luck!

Who do i call to check out water leakage from my kitchen ceramic tile floors?
Aug 14, 2007 by advice needed.... | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I just noticed that on the floor near our sink/dishwater, water is coming up from the ceramic tile floor. when i wipe it and clean it up, water comes up. Who do i call to fix it? a plumber for the leak, but who do i call for the floors to make sure there is no mold.
The plummer would be a good place to start, go from there and see what kind of damage has been done.

What is the best cleaner and or way to clean ceramic tile floors?
Feb 22, 2007 by ohio1973 | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
What is the best solution and mop to use when cleaning ceramic floors, what makes them shine the best and what cleans them the best. Everything I seem to try is to soapy and does not clean good. Thank you.
I've had ceramic tile floors in the whole house for over 25 years and agree, soap doesn't work. I've always used warm water with white vinegar in it. It cuts grease and puts a great shine on the floor -- also, does NOT make the tile slippery like soap can.
Hope it works for you.

We just spent 2 days cleaning and applying a white stain\sealer to the grout on our ceramic tile floors!?

Now the tile and grout look absolutely perfect...except. The finish on the floor is kind of flat. We want it to have a glossy look. The tile is ceramic, already sealed, not porous at all. Is there any product that I can apply to this type of floor to give it a glossy look?
yes you can use many of sealers that should have no problem adhering to that. Look for a gloss but lots of products use the saying looks wet. A high quality sealer will work great!
