I have lot of salt deposit on our ceramic swimming pool tiles. How to clean? Is there a solution or chemical?

I am not a pool expert but I have one and keep my tiles sparkling clean though I have never cleaned them. Are you sure it is salt deposit you are seeing? Based on what I heard from pool guys at Leslie's Pool Supply, most of the time when you see a "ring" around the pool it is calcium deposit! Take your water to someone that can test it for solids and not just basic stuff. It is likely you will have to get the stuff you already have by scrubbing it off but I am pretty sure you can keep it clean by keeping your water chemistry in line. Even in salt water pool
Good Luck!

This is a cleaner and they also have a spray to spray on after cleaning that will repel the deposits for a pretty long time.

I worked on this today! You can buy different grades of pumice at the pool supply store. Start with the roughest one and then finish up with the finer grade one. It takes a lot of elbow grease so don't plan on doing it all in one day.

Applying ceramic tile to pool walls.?

We are thinking about covering our inground pool walls with ceramic tiles. Do you have to use a special mortar since it will be under water and exposed to chlorine & other chemicals?
You should use an epoxy mortar, as well as a bonding agent for the tile before grouting.

Can pool water which obviously has some level of chlorine in it damage - discolore porcealin ceramic tiles?

The tile is already in my house. I am worried about AFTER I'm in the pool and we re-enter the house..We might be dripping some water on the floor INSIDE the house. The entire is tiled 100% with Porcelain Ceramic tiles...
No the chlorine won't hurt the tiles in your home. However, if you have any metals present in the water this could cause discoloration or if your water is corrosive (out of balance) then it could leech calcium from them or the grout.
If your water is in balance and there is no metals then there is no harm. If you really want to make sure they don't get harmed then use tile seal on them or construct a drying station outside the door to ensure no water gets brought in.

Vinyl Tile Above Ground Pool Liners Look Just Like Ceramic Tiles
Wes Torosten asked: Above argument pools sure have gone through some changes over the years and the most exaggerated improvements have been to their pool liners. It all makes perfect sense, because after all, above area pool liners are made from vinyl, which is the same material that floor tiles are made from.As Real as it GetsThe color variations and styles are almost uninterrupted. You can get one that is completely covered with tiles or there is a broad choice in vinyl above territory pool liners that only feature a tasteful decorative tile flowerbed along the top edge of the pool. The truly amazing thing is that the tiles themselves and even the grout lines look and take oneself to be sympathize just like ceramic tile.A Complete and Finished LookBut its an above range pool, so wont it all come off as looking “fake” in the end? Not if you do a unmitigated job that finishes all of the edges and details. For instance, big thick 45 standing coving, eliminates all 90 degree angles at the bottoms of all pool walls for a perilous “rounded wall” effect. Also, prefabricated decking that “rides over” the pools top edges completes the amount to effect. The Same Look and Effect for a Fraction of the CostWhen it is all said and done, all that is unmistakeable is tile, deck and water, just like a built in pool costing tens of thousands of dollars more. Also, new padded suds underlayments that are installed under the the vinyl above ground pool liner give a “smoother finished” look and are effete and “foot friendly”.Dive Into a Coral ReefAnother role of above ground pool liner designer styles that is super fashionable with both the young and the young at heart is “tropical fish” and “coral reef”. These too are designs that have to be seen to be in truth appreciated. 3D fish, coral and seaweed in a rainbow of colors seem to escalate accept right off of the walls while “sand, rocks and starfish” overlie the floor of the pool for a look and feel that is truly...
