I have vinyl decking and I want to paint it a different color. What kind of paint do I use??
Jun 13, 2007 by bonnygaul | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
With knowing the BRAND of composite deck material, but knowing TREX to be one of the first, though I hear complaints all the time,,,they have made improvements.
First of all consider that composition. Pretty much like MDF, or as I rudely like to say "GLIT". Actually as it evolves it will hopefully replace the clear cutting of forests. It's a great factory tour too BTW, should you ever get the notion.
To Paint it, and with all due respect to another answer, DO NOT use Latex.
Epoxy based paints and similar; specific to exterior use will NOT degrade the deck substance, and given a proper dry/cure time can last as long, and hold up as well as anything you could paint over concrete.
Your issue will remain however, in that being an exterior surface, subject to the environment and wear that any floor gets, you'll likely have to maintain it.
While I totally understand someones desire to change a color, I may never understand it, as it regards a DECK no matter the material.

Go to Lowe's or wherever you bought your decking, & see what they recommend.

Use a good quality Exterior Flat floor or deck paint . Most brands carry them. Be sure your existing surface is clean and free of dirt and dust. Bye I almost forgot to tell you to use water based, it's easier.

If its vinyl, it probably won't take paint.

Omigosh!!! We just did renovations to a house we just bought and did that on our front entrance. Looks marvelous, much better than what the original step was.

do pioneer cdj turntables and similar cd tables work the same as vinyl decks?
Mar 19, 2009 by big chippy | Posted in Music & Music Players
i don't want to get vinyl decks because....for just a hobby and occasional local shows i can just burn my mp3s/m4ps onto a cd instead of buying all new vinyls. i just have one question, can you cue tracks by hand on cdj tables? that might seem like a dumb question but before i drop a few hundo i wanna make sure that i'm buying what i want.

this is a guy who is a dj watch some of his videos on CDj
just search cdj on his page this guy has everything.
why tell you when you can see for yourself. be sure to check this guy out. there are tons of different cdjs on there
pioneer cdj turntables are a lot of money but are good.
now from me I own a Gemini CDM 3600
which is fine for me. also some cdjs you can scratch some you can not but you you cue tracks by hand on cdj tables. some say it easier with it but I don't know.
just wondering how much you looking to spend?
look around before you buy. You should see for yourself that way you can deside for yourself.
let me know what you do peace.

How can I make a DJ mix demo CD, starting with vinyl, two decks and a laptop?
Aug 18, 2008 by Trevor E | Posted in Music & Music Players
What's the best way of making an demo mix-tape to show DJing skills? I'm using vinyl decks, but I'd like to wire it up to the laptop to save the mix. Any good software you'd recommend? Any extra hardware I need?
You need a DJ mixer too.
Then you can wire the ouput of the mixer to the input of the laptop.
