What kind of stain can I use to cover dry dark pressure treated wood decking around a swimming pool?

I would like to use a stain and wood sealer in one product. Deck is approximately 40' x 50' and is very black and greyish in color. Thompson's water sealer has been used in the past but not for over five years. Would like to use a stain that would cover in one coat. Any Ideas. PLEASE HELP
Everybody I know seems to really like the BEHR products. Ive never really tried it but thats what I hear

Something is boring a hole in my wood decking - what could it be?

We have a relativly new wood deck and have found fresh sawdust that has fallen out of a hole that has been drilled by something. There is fresh sawdust every morning. The hole is about 1/2 inch across.
Carpenter bees can be the problem.
Go to this link and see if the holes look like this if so, then you have carpenter bees.

What decking wood is used to get that lovely grey weathered look?

Is it just normal decking that has been weathered over years? or can you buy decking wood that looks that good?

Cedar will turn gray with weather and age. Regular pressure treated lumber will also tend to gray slightly if left untreated. But Cedar is know for its graying qualities. But to get this color you can not stain it or treat it with a sealer. Cedar has natural preservatives qualities. That is one of the reasons it cost more.

How do I remove tar from wood decking?

The deck is treated lumber but has not been stained. We had to temporarily tar paper and tar the seams of our "temporary" roof before the trusses arrived. Footprints are left on our deck from stepping in the tar. Any suggestions on removing it?
Use VM&P naphtha, which you can get at the hardware store. It is a very light solvent that will dissolve the tar immediately. Use lots, so it won't make a ring. It evaporates very quickly.
