How can I install an industrial fan in a residential area.?
Oct 29, 2008 by reyoro82 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I bought a Binks industrial exhaust fan for a project car that I am restoring. The problem is that the exhaust fans wiring is made for commercial us. Could I make some sort of modifications or changes to make it function in a residential area? It is a 1/2 hp 208/230/460/3 motor that pushes 1730rpms.

you shouldn't have to make any mods to it,its wired for 230(220,240) same thing,if it has to be hard wired just install a outlet in your garage or shop and wire it to that, just remember that both black and white wires are hot,not like 120volt.,what are you restoring muscle car or vintage,oh ya make sure its single phase not 3 phase,if its 3 phase, ain't gonna happen unless you have your house wired for it.

Are there any laws reguarding climate control in buildings open to the public?
Aug 04, 2007 by happydwarf78 | Posted in Law & Ethics
I work in a large all metal warehouse that is open to the public. We do not have air conditioning. We do, as employees, have access to the air-conditioned offices and free water in the office. However, in the warehouse, we only have 3 fans on the floor and 3 behind the registers. There are large industrial-type exhaust fans that we've been told significantly lower the temperature, but we are not permitted to turn them on. It supposed to be 97 degrees this week, and inside its usually AT LEAST 10 degrees warmer. Our customers nearly melt in the heat...
Is there anything we can do? I've looked at OSHA, but it just doesn't make any sense to me. Can anyone help?
No. But it would be well for management to do something about this, as it would materially improve productivity.

Price: $795.00
Product Description
This econometric mug up covers the world outlook for manufacturing attic fans, industrial and commercial fans and blowers, commercial exhaust fans, and commercial ventilating fans across more than 200 countries. For each year reported, estimates are prearranged for the latent demand, or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.), for the native land in question (in millions of U.S. dollars), the percent parcel the country is of the region and of the globe. These comparative benchmarks grant the reader to quickly gauge a country vis-a-vis others. Using econometric models which forecast fundamental economic dynamics within each country and across countries, latent order estimates are created. This report does not converse about the specific players in the market serving the latent requisition, nor specific details at the product level. The cramming also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might assume realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in character, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products snarled.
This study does not report actual sales evidence (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent aspect etiquette in virtually all of the 230 countries of the world). This survey gives, however, my estimates for the worldwide latent on presentation, or the P.I.E., for manufacturing attic fans, industrial and commercial fans and blowers, commercial exhaust fans, and commercial ventilating fans. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided across the fabulous's regional and national markets. For each country, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over days (positive or negative growth). In order to appear these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on universal strategic planning at graduate schools of firm.
