what is the best panasonic bathroom exhaust fan?
Sep 04, 2008 by LISA S | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I am replacinig my bathroom fans and have heard that Panasonic is the best. But there are so many different models. Which is the best?
Quanman is right the fans are sold as cubic feet rating..Example a 10 x 10 bathw/ 8 foot ceiling is 800 cubic feet.. You need to get 1 that ll handle that size.. And get the 1 w/ the quietest rating you can you won t regret spending the extra trust me on that because it s the voice of experiance saying that lol .. The quieter ones will be the better built ones .. GL

It really depends on the size of your room. To oversimplify, a larger room needs a unit with "capacity". I made the mistake of ordering over the net and got a unit that was too large for the medium sized bathroom. Also, you would need to assess whether you wanted a combo unit for both light and/or nightlight.
All of the Whisper Quiet fans are very very quiet; you might not notice the noise at all. I had my electrician hook the fan up with the nightlight so that I would know if I left it on at night.

I like really quiet fans. The whisper-quiet are good. I chose the remotely mounted ones for the best effect and just love them.

Alternative to bathroom fan with fluorescent light not very bright vs separate fan and light?
Mar 14, 2008 by Lin | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
For bathroom remodel, builder brought Panasonic exhaust fan with ceiling light and night-light. They'll be on three switches. The main light has 2 small energy-effic. fluorescent bulbs with translucent plastic cover. I really don't like it. Fan is very quiet, but the light is not very bright and has unpleasant color-tone. He says soon incandescent bulbs will stop being available. Should I keep this? (There are other lights in the room.) Is fluorescent really the way to go? Any better bulbs? Or should I just pay for extra wiring and get a different fan and a separate ceiling light? Thanks for any suggestions?
I still prefer the softness of a regular light. Flourescent is not a good light for the "woman thing" of putting on makeup! Also, I like the quiet without a fan running at times. The cost is probably not so much as to "settle" for less than you like.
