How do you clean brass faucets?

There is a greenish buildup on our faucets, what is the best household product to clean them?
White vinegar works wonders,no chemicals! :)

Try a cleanser called Barkeeper's Friend. It's a powdered cleanser that is wonderful on metal and it's not harsh on your hands! It's actually made from rhubarb leaves. I use it on copper, brass, stainless steel, my old kitchen sink. The only thing is be sure to wash all the cleanser off when you're done; otherwise you will get a white haze. Might grab an old toothbrush to help get in those tight places too. And sometimes, you have to apply it and walk away for 10 minutes or so to let it "work".

Where can I get my bathroom faucets replated with brass?

Faucets are 16 years old and badly discolored. Replacement parts are either not available or very expensive. I could have the existing items plated with brass again.
sk33t3r may have the right answer but if that doesn't work look in the yellow pages under Metal Finsihers.
changing them out will be much cheaper though. I would only replate if they have some real value such as an antique.

The faucets are Kohler faucets and they are probably not brass but are brass colored. Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.

Sell them at the local scrap buying facility. I recently sold a brass pump head that weighed about 10 pounds. The price is about 2 or 2.50 per pound. Those salvage metals are very high. Aluminum scrap runs about 1.89 per pound And stainless steel runs about 4.00.
You need to totally dismantle the valve and have only brass, not a combo of various metals to get the top pricing.

Hard to find because they are out of style and pretty tacky to boot.
