Would it look wierd if I have a chrome clawfoot tub faucet and brushed nickel sink faucets in my bathroom?

I'm building, and I just can't decide what I want. I don't know how a brushed nickel clawfoot tub faucet would look.
You should really pick what you like the best. Have you honestly ever gone into someone's bathroom and critiqued their fixtures? Do you notice if the tub matches the sink? I doubt most people do......pick the one, or both that you like!

Well, since the claw footed tub is an antique look, I would use the the brushed nickel because the chrome is just too modern. But it is your house and you have to be happy when you see it.

Both should last a long time, as long as they are a good brand. Chrome is less expensive than brushed nickel. But brushed nickel will not show water spots and finger prints like the polished chrome will. Both are easy to clean, just follow manufacturers care instructions... don't use harsh abrasive cleaners, or anything with bleach.

We hired people to clean our condo and they used some kind of harsh cleaner on our brushed metal Kohler faucets, and now it's discolored by black stains. Is there anything we can do to remove the stains?
Just sponge on some White Vinegar and sprinkle a little Baking soda on your cloth or sponge and scrub gently leave on for about five to ten minutes then rinse with warm water and buff dry. You can also use a little Rubbing alcohol on a sponge and buff with a dry cloth. Good Luck !

Like the other person said . You just need to buy one. Or you can make it look really cheesy by trying to paint it. Then it will look like something that you would see in a kids doll house.

Trying to match the dacor of a new home. Should the bathroom and kitchen fixtures match the finishes of the door knobs and/or lighting or can you mix and match. We are looking into having brushed nickel fixtures and door knobs while having oil rubbed bronze pendant lighting and wall sconces.
Separate rooms in a home do not have to match and you can play with the fixtures within rooms. They just need to be within the same family of styles. For instance if you are choosing a contemporary look, you would not want to choose a victorian style regardless of the finish. We have stainless kitchen appliances, brushed nickel knobs, handles, and faucets, but deep bronzed drops over the island and chandelier over the breakfast area. Your bathrooms definitely don't have to match your kitchen choices so have some fun.
