Installing new faucet with sprayer into old basin?
Jul 16, 2007 by Sparky | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I purchased a new faucet with sprayer. Currently I have a faucet but no sprayer.
next to where the sprayer should go, there is a overflow for my dishwasher. Do I need to drill another hole or do I need to do something with the overflow ?
I am in California if that matters. Also, I meant to say "next to the faucet, there is an overflow"
you can probably re-work your dishwasher drain line under your sink drain, which removes the need for an overflow. Usually, these drain into a disposal anyhow. Then perhaps the existing hole will be sufficient.
Take a look at a friends under sink plumbing to get ideas.

Why did water stop coming full blast from the kitchen sink sprayer? Now comes out of faucet AND sprayer ?
Oct 27, 2008 by Otis123 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
When first installed, the kitchen sink faucet and sprayer worked so well. When we needed to spray, we pushed the button, water stopped coming from the faucet and through the sprayer only. Great! Now water comes from both sources, and the power is light on both. How do I get the water to come from the sprayer only when needed, at full force???? Thank you.
Thank you all for your very detailed and informative answers! We'll try some of these suggestions. Thank you!
In the base of the faucet is a shuttle valve which diverts the water flow to the sprayer. Probably a seal on the valve spool is bad. They are usually o-rings. The problem is how to get access to the bad part. Different faucets come apart in different ways.
If you can remove the faucet where it swivels the access to the valve is easy to get to. Otherwise you might have to pull the whole assembly and work from the bottom.
That's the best I can offer without seeing the unit.

Faucet with sprayer installed. Sprayer works when water is on at faucet but the faucet does not work. Why?
Sep 17, 2006 by md9963 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
The faucet is a Glacier Bay model with a hot, cold and sprayer. The water barely trickles out of the faucet even when both valves are fully open. We have checked the lines for clogs and kinks, but water is obviously getting to the faucet because the sprayer, although not with the kind of pressure I would like, works. I am normally handy and this is not rocket-science, but we can not figure this out. Any help out there? Your input would be appreciated.
Check the screens in the tip of faucet. They get clogged with particles. Sometimes just enough to stop water flow. Happened to me more than once.

Delta kitchen faucet, press sprayer, and water still comes out of the spout!?
Aug 12, 2007 by Karim | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Delta kitchen faucet model RP3614 about 8 years old? , I press sprayer, and water still comes out of the spout!
actually, some water comes out of the sprayer unit, but maybe half of what it should be, the rest some water comes out of the spout.
I have already changed today all the parts inside the faucet - including the cartridge ball, the o-rings, springs..everything in there.
not sure what else to try.
the hose looks like it just connects - screws in - underneath the faucet.
I am thinking if the hose is plugged, it may cause the water to also come out the spout, and cut the pressure out of the hose?
IS this possible, what else can it be?
thanks for your help.
Karim
Hi. I use to be a Customer Service Rep for Delta Faucets based in Central Illinois.. Have you tried replacing the diverter and the hose should be replaced as well. not sure why they just sent you the rp3614, S&S, o-rings, cam and packing with the allen key hole wrench. The ball didn't really have anything to do with it. You are still under warranty, ask about rp28900 in whatever color you have and depending on the type of faucet, one handle rp320 and for two handles it is a different on, looks like a white stick with four keys cut out to unscrew it with a quater. Also a pencil stream of water is normal, but most of the time you can cut that to lil drops to nothing. And besides the csr's have to send parts out twice, and if they don't work they have to send a new faucet. But make sure you don't use DANCO. Techincally it voids the warr. and also don't put any lube on the parts.

Kitchen faucet sprayer: Your kitchen is incomplete without it
Over the prior several years one has witnessed the evolution of kitchen faucets. Kitchen faucets with spray are by far one of the most in demand faucets found in most homes. They are extremely easy to install and are also very serviceable to work with. These faucets with the rather forceful spray are particularly productive while cleaning utensils and washing vegetables. But most importantly, these kitchenette faucets are extremely durable. Perfect for me
I wanted something I could reach from my wheelchair, to spray the entire sink basin. This does the trick! Also, it was easy to install...just threaded it inside my faucet tip, tightened with a pliers, used the big washer, and the water did not leak. Good deal!

Exactly what I needed
This is a simple aerator, but it is well-designed and should be compatible with just about any faucet. I've only had it a few days, but it looks like it should last for quite a long time considering the $7 price.

Showed up on time and installed easily.
I got this to replace a Brita faucet head we no longer use because the new fridge has a filter. The old Brita came off by hand and this installed easily by hand tightening. It came with two rubber washers and said to use both during installation, by my faucet only accommadated one. Working fine. It seems a little light weight but is performing as expected.

Renewed my faucet!
My original plan was to get a new faucet for my kitchen sink, but looking at prices, over $300... I decided to just replace the nozzle. I was a bit skeptical because of the low cost of this nozzle and plastic material used. But I have been using it for over a month and have had NO problems! It works wonderfully and it has completely transformed my faucet, I now have more pressure and control of the flow of water. Although it does bring the faucet lower into the sink (because of the length of the danco nozzle) and I tend to hit is when washing large dishes (that is the only problem I seem to face).
Another pro, is the reach of water, my faucet is static and I never was able to rinse the side walls of my sink (w/out having to use a cup to fill), now I just swivel the nozzle to each side and it works great! I definitely recommend this for anyone who needs more versatility out of their faucet!

Great value product
Had been looking for one at the stores and found some but didn't like how they work with my sink. The Danco 88270 was easy to replace/install and works wonderfully for my sink. The swivel rotates very smoothly without much effort.

Works and looks great!
Bought this for my Delta faucet. Only problem was that it's supplied with a 15/16" outer thread while my faucet takes accepts a 13/16" outer thread. A quick trip to the hardware store to get an adapter and I was all set. It's very easy to install and there were no leaks at all. You can almost install with no tools, but it wouldn't hurt to give it a very slight tightening turn with a wrench. I suspect if you're getting leaks you must have forgotten to insert the provided washer, or you have installed the parts incorrectly inside the device. The spray mechanism works great and I appreciate that it resets itself to stream mode when you shut off the water. Oh, did I say it looks fantastic -- slim and chromy. I didn't like competitive products that are at least twice as long.
Great swivel faucet aerator esp. if you don't have separate sprayer
I had used one of these in my last kitchen faucet, but couldn't find a replacement locally when I moved. Didn't leak then (2+ years). Harder water may erode the parts more quickly. Installed this one in new kitchen. No issues to date (couple months). We like this swivel aerator for 2 reasons: 1) It's more shallow than other swivel aerators (closer to the faucet head, allowing more clearance to fill tall pots), and 2) it reverts to the default stream position when you turn off the faucet. (Deliberate design--but I can see how it's not for everyone.) This aerator is an acceptable alternative to installing a separate sprayer (which we can't because of the faucet type).

Good value
These work well, and in this model has a metal attachment rather than the plastic which makes it quite a bit more durable in heavy use. Other than that, it's a cheap alternative to the faucets with the integrated sprayer.
Compact, Functional & Dependable
This is one of those seemingly insignificant devices that would drive me crazy if it didn't work well. I am happy to say that after six months, I am all but totally satisfied with it.
If you happen to have a shallower kitchen sink and are looking for a compact faucet sprayer, I think you've found it. This one is very stylish and durable: I still can't tell for sure whether the chrome ring above the sprayer is metal or plastic (that's a compliment), and it is operating just as well six months after I bought it with no leaks or decreased functionality.
It definitely cuts 1-2 inches in length off the bottom versus other available models -- a significant difference for a shallow sink when plates stack up or with tall glasses. The spray activation (by pulling down on the nozzle) is dependable and solid, as is its automatic return to the flow position when I turn off the water (which I like because I always know it will be in "flow" when I turn on the faucet).
It looks great on stainless steel fixtures (chrome matches perfectly) in a stainless steel sink.
I am knocking off one star because it doesn't swivel quite far enough to reach e.v.e.r.y part of my sink and because the sprayer kicks up water off plates a little t-o-o easily (the sprayer pops back before you can turn the water down low enough to prevent splashing sometimes).
Perfect for me
I've tried the E*ro*et product several times and they all broke quickly (except for the white one which I have in my bathroom - that one is great and I don't know why they discontinued that design it is much better than the black). So I decided to try this one, which is perfect if you, like me, have a shallow kitchen sink and/or don't need a double jointed aerator. I like the fact it automatically reverts back to stream mode but understand that some people don't. This is compact, attractive, easy to install and so far has held up well. I'm glad I bought it.

Ultra EuroJet Faucet Attachment
Seems to be a pretty good product so far. Had to contact manfacturer for adaptors but they responded quickly. The sprayer has 2 swivel knuckles, but we were able to remove one of them. Two seemed unnecessary. Switching from normal flow to spray is smooth.
Consistently breaks
Works great while it lasts, which is not long at all. I've tried about five of these and they have lasted from about one month to four months tops. They used to be quality, but aren't anymore. I'm going to try another brand now as I'm tired of returning these. The piece in the bottom falls out eventually and then never fits again properly. Avoid this product!

sprays great, but tends to leak and hard to toggle
I'm writing this review because I'm just about to order a replacement for this unit, not because it's worn out, but because it's so annoying. Although the spray it generates is great, and it can swivel better than anything else I've seen, the various connections tend to come unscrewed, causing leaks, and worse, it's difficult to change between spray and stream. For people with small/weak hands, it can be extremely frustrating to use.

Cheaply made, cheap parts, does not last.
I'm on my fourth EuroJet in about 3 years. The concept is great but the workmanship is terrible. The EuroJet looks modern and sleek, does the job it claims to do but, after a few months it will leak (sometimes so much so that it will spray you when you open the faucet). The mesh screen and the ring around the bottom opening keep falling out. When I bought mine they were $12 each which is still pricey for a kitchen sink aerator. Now, you may ask why I keep buying this item if it is so badly made and pricey. Well, the EuroJet has a very special feature that I cannot do without. It creates strong water pressure even in areas where there is little or no water pressure! I live in an older home in an area where water pressure seems to be a luxury. The EuroJet allows me to rinse my dishes, pots, pans, and clean my sink in record time. Without it, it would take three minutes just to rinse one dish with the sad trickle of water I get from my faucet. I have tried many other brands of aerators and they all have the flow/spray feature and they swivel 360 degrees, however, they do not provide normal water pressure. I give this 3 stars for the water pressure alone. I believe that most customers who buy the EuroJet buy it for the water pressure feature. It is a great shame that it does not last.
Excellent Addition to Any Kitchen Sink
I'm currently on my second EuroJet. Not because the first one wore out, but because I recently moved and my girlfriend demanded that I get a new one for the new house. I originally stumbled upon this device at a brick-and-mortar store and thought it seemed like a nice idea. I'd used other sinks in the past with similar devices, though without the same level of flexibility. The one I purchased in-store was in a box just like the one pictured here. The one I received from Amazon came in one of those frustrating clam-shell packages. I much prefer the cardboard box packaging, but oh well.
Installation is very easy. Whether you have threads on the inside or outside of your faucet, installation is simple, requiring no more than a pliers. Just make sure to wrap your pliers' teeth with some sort of cloth or paper towel so you don't scratch your fixtures. The installation directions can be a little confusing, though, simply because the pictures don't quite match up to what you are given. For example, the adapter they have pictured looks like a washer, but I believe it is supposed to represent the metal adapter you screw onto your faucet if the threads are on the inside of the faucet. There is also a washer included which has only a very small hole in the middle of it. No explanation is given as to its purpose. I assume it is used to limit the amount of water flow.
Speaking of water flow, that took the most getting used to. I've found that much more water comes out with this sprayer installed (when in normal-flow mode). I had to get used to not turning the sink on as high as I was used to, but that's just a minor quibble.
The first sprayer I had was a little tight when switching from normal-flow to jet-spray mode. It would sometimes take quite a pull to get it to switch. The second sprayer I have is a little loose. It switches much more easily, but it doesn't seem to fully transition to jet-spray mode. When the black piece is pulled down, it actually appears to be a little crooked, with part of the black piece not fully pulled down. This causes one of the sprayer holes to not quite fully engage. So, water comes half out of the center of the device in that area, half out of the sprayer hole. If you pull on the black piece a little harder, it'll then fully engage and water will only come out of the sprayer hole. In the end, this doesn't seem to affect the device's effectiveness at all.
All-in-all, it's a very nice device. It provides for a very powerful spray, and is able to reach any corner of the sink. It also makes it much easier to get the water spray out of your way when you don't need it (for those times when you're scrubbing something and don't want the water to wash away your soap, but still need the water flowing to rinse out the sink). Instead of moving your faucet head over to the other sink, for example, you can just tilt the sprayer so that the water directs off to the back corner of the sink.
I docked it a star because of the instructions and the consistency of the device's quality. The instructions, as previously mentioned, seem a little too dumbed-down. They tried to make them as simple as possible, but I'd appreciate further explanation on a few points. As for the device's quality, it seems pretty good to me so far, but the fact that the first unit I got was much tighter than the second one, and the second one doesn't seem to full engage, concerns me. Also, other reviewers seem to have to replace the device after a few years, but that doesn't surprise me. All washers and rings wear out over time. The low cost of this device makes up for having to replace it every few years. Installation is very simple, so even when you do have to replace it, it shouldn't take long.

faucet w/sprayer and soap pump
I am very pleased with the item in both function and appearance. The other products I looked at cost twice as much and did not include the soap dispenser. The order arrived at my house within 5 days of purchase and overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I do recommend this product.
Looks Beautiful, But LEAKS LEAKS LEAKS
We installed this faucet last December and have had a constant problem with leaking between the fixed base and the Swivel head. At first it was extremely hard to move the faucet between my two sink wells....but, even then, it would leak when at a particular location. Now that it's "loosened up" I have a hard time finding a spot where it doesn't leak. Going to have to go with something less "form" and more "function".

Great Value!
This is a very high quality faucet. Beautiful beautiful beautiful brushed nickel finish, heavy, not thin and cheap. A friend was over and when I told her what I paid for the faucet set she was floored. She guessed I paid about $400.00. Picture very accurate. Extremely satisfied with product and seller.
Brushed Nickel Faucet!
Great product! Heavy duty and beautiful to look at! An earlier review mentioned the sprayer hose being inferior. I see no problem with it at all and the unit as a whole is great. I bought two of these. One for the bar and on for the Kitchen sink. I highly recommend them!

Quality product, except for the spray hose...
Premier Brushed Nickel Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with Sprayer plus Soap Pump
We bought this faucet for a laundry tub in an unheated garden room. It was the only reasonably priced faucet we could find that was this high. The spout is 13.5" above the sink and extends 10".
Pros:
- Faucet assembly, spray nozzle, and soap dispenser button are high quality, very attractive, and work well. These parts are made out of nickle plated brass. The faucet assembly weighs in at a hefty 4.5 lbs.
- The ceramic disc technology (to control water flow) should last many years, perhaps decades.
- The supplied water feeder hoses are braided stainless steel with a rubber hose inside and 27", surely long enough for any installation.
- Faucet can be mounted with handle to the left, right, or straight ahead.
- Faucet, spray nozzle, and soap dispenser can be mounted in any available sink hole.
Cons:
- The spray hose is stiff plastic with no mechanism to retract it back under the sink after use. Better quality (and of course, more expensive) faucets typically use a spiral-wound chrome-plated metal flex-hose with a rubber tube inside, and have a spring or weight to retract the hose.
- The base assembly that the hand-held spray nozzle rests in is plastic, so it is subject to cracking, breaking, and finish peeling. It should be nickle-plated brass to match the quality of the other pieces.
Summary:
This faucet looks great and functions well.
It's well worth buying if you can live with the stiff plastic spray hose.
Includes nefarious spray head and 48-inch vinyl hose
Product Description
Faucet side sprayers sell versatility in the kitchen. Use to rinse dishes, sinks, etc. Extends the plenty of water from the faucet. This spray head/hose circle will fit most existing faucet side sprayers; easy installation.

There are better spray heads out there
I replaced two faucet sprayers similar to this. The lever you press to spray breaks after a few years. I switched to a version that has more of a button to press. It's lasted much longer and is still working. (it's chrome and cost a little more, but is worth it.)
