How do you change the faucet on a garden tub (not a jacuzzi)?
May 11, 2007 by lawmom | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I see no access to get the faucet off and replace it. It's a one piece tub with a horribly ugly brass faucet.
If it is a 3 piece unit (two handles and a spout) you can probably remove the handles and unscrew the spout. The handles probably have a cap that can be popped off to reveal screws holding them on. Remove the handles to give you enough room to unscrew the spout. Turn off the water before doing this or be very careful not to turn the handles while working on them.

My Jacuzzi tub has no access panel and I'd like to change the faucet..Help?
Nov 02, 2008 by truss72511 | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I just bought a house with a jacuzzi drop in bathtub. The only possible acces to it would be right at the front about 4ft. The rest of the tub is surrounded by tiled walls. The faucet for the tub is right at the front tiled wall and it is loose. I'd like to replace it or tighten it. How do you reccomend I gain access?
You have not much choice but to make an access panel and replace the tiled area. You could make a repair job or just replace the whole existing front with something new. That would also be a good time to check for any leaks or damage. If you hire someone PLEASE don't hire some schmo, make sure the plumber and carpenter are licensed and insured. They will cost a little more but you can sleep better knowing it was done right and warranted. Good luck!

"Corner Plate" for tub? Accidently drilled holes in tub for roman tub faucet - how do I cover?
Oct 06, 2007 by obscureallure | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
My husband thought that I had bought a roman tub faucet for our new jacuzzi tub, but I bought a wall mount. The roman tub faucet just don't have enough room. So now I have three pretty little holes in the corner of my tub! Any idea of how to cover it? Does Jacuzzi sell a 'corner plate' or something? If not any other ideas? I don't want a 'hole-y' tub! Thanks!
You did not say what the tub was made of, but most are fiberglass. It is possible to also patch fiberglass, then add gel coat over the spot (boat repairs are done this way). You can get all the stuff you need from a marine supplier or boat dealer. They also have coloring kits to match colors other than white. You might also build up the area in that corner as a small step up with the fiberglass then use it for decoration.
I have patch a few holes in fiberglass tubs, even matching off white colors. Good luck!
The chrome caps will work fine also if you can deal with that fix.

where can i find replacement hardware for a 20 year old jacuzzi tub?
May 29, 2006 by kmr | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i'm not even certain if its jacuzzi. there aren't any markings to identify it. tub works great but all exterior hardware is corroded. The faucet is delta, i assume all hardware is as well since it all appears to be original. the hardware is brass i want to change to stainless. any help is greatly appreciated!
I assume this is a jetted bath tub rather than a hot tub? What you are going to find is primarily plastic jets. They can have chrome, brass, stainless faceplates, however. That might be all you need to purchase. Try a local plumbing supply store. Betcha they can fix you up.

Need Help Removing and Fixing Bathtub Faucet?
Aug 14, 2007 by A | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
In one bathroom in the house, there is a jacuzzi tub. It is against the wall completely and takes up the width of the wall as well. On one side of the faucet, the handle broke off from that bottom part of the handle. I am trying to remove the entire thing so that way i can fix it, because i tried to use super glue to get it back on, and it just made it worse, now the white thing inside that the handle used to turn to make the water go on is stuck. Its a roman style faucet . Any ideas on how to get superglue undone, as well as to unscrew the entire right side handle. it is pretter well in there, i tried the left side and it unscrews easily, but the right side is on too tight, any ideas to make it come off? Thanks
Look at the faucet handle pullers that are available at hardware and home improvement centers. You should be able to get a new handle there too. Take the left side handle with you to help find a match. If they don't have a good match then you should be able to get two new handles that would fit your faucet.
