Whats a good modern looking kitchen faucet that I can buy?
I'm also looking for some bathroom faucets to match with it.
I've been looking at moen, kohler, delta, grohe, jado discount kitchen faucets so far.
I have found the best luck with delta or kohler.

I am in need of advice from the plumbers out there. I want a good kitchen faucet that will not give me problems in the future. There are so many brands to choose from. Which is the best brand as far as reliability goes? Thanks so much! I will be shopping today based on your answers!
i prefer the delta 100wf!!!! its long lasting,dependable, and the replcement parts are available as an after market and work fine and are cheap!! i use them/ suggest them regularly

I have already set my bathroom Faucets to dripping because I am trying to keep my pipes from bursting and I have my kitchen faucet on both hot and cold on all the way ! And It's night time ! I'm worried ! And the pipes are insulated ! Will they bust ?
And oh yeah I don't have a hair dryer !
I already have two heat tapes !

Are there supposed to be fingerprints and watermarks on KOHLER kitchen faucets brand new in the box?

I purchased one at Home Depot and when I opened the box I noticed a whole bunch of fingerprints and dried watermarks all over the faucet itself. Is this normal? I mean does KOHLER test out their products this way and ship in the box without cleaning them? That seems very weird. Or could it be that I was sold a used kitchen faucet?
Most definately you got a faucet that was returned and put right back on the shelf.I would be pissed if I went to the trouble of installing it and find out it's defective! Take it back and exchange it.

I just installed a new Moen single handle kitchen faucet. It is virtually indentical to the original except the base is about 1/4" narrower. Consequently, the new assembly will not fully cover the hole in the sink top required for the original. Before I begin fabricating some sort of a "cover" plate/gasket is there such a thing commercially available?
Does your faucet have the capability of covering just one of the three holes? If it does, you could take the large cover plate off, and use the middle single hole for the faucet. This would leave 2 holes, that you could use for a soap dispenser, and a hot water dispenser, or a filtered water system spigot. Good luck!

Pretty but splashes water like crazy
Maybe we have strong water pressure. I don't know. I tried this faucet for 8 months and last weekend my DH ripped it out for me. Yes, it worked just fine. But every evening when I cleaned up the kitchen, I walked away with water all over the front of my clothes from this thing splashing water. It was on me. Behind the sink. On the side of the counter (where the sink meets counter). I was tired of it. Water everywhere.
So we took it out and put in an American Standard Fairbury. No more splashing. My clothes are dry when I clean the kitchen. The counter is dry. The water only goes in the sink where it belongs. I no longer get sprayed when I put a dish or bowl under the stream of water.
Sorry Kohler. We won't be back.

suposed to be top of the line but keeps comming loose
We bought it new almost 4 years ago so I guess it has held up pretty well so far. The problem we hae is that the bolt keeps comming lose and you have to tightening it a certain way so it wont leak. ITs not too bad but certainly not as good as the price would lead you to beleive.

I have installed many kitchen faucets in my 83 years, but this was by far the easiest. The only problem I have with the device is the splash. No air gets mixed with the water stream (in either mode) and as a result the water splashes out of the sink unless the volume is cut way back. The effect is worsened by the fact that much more water comes out than any other faucet I have used. Changing the aerator didn't help, apparently because the aerator is recessed into the spout and air cannot get into it.
It is, by far, the most beautiful faucet I have owned--an eyeopener.

Best Buy great performance
Have owned this faucet for three months now and we love it! Replaced a 5 year old Price Pfister unit that broke within the first month becauae of cheap plastic push button construction. The Kohler push button (to select spray or single stream) is also plastic, but the performance is much more solid than the P - F; the unit stays clean, is easy to wipe up and provides good water flow. The hose fitting is plenty long enough and the unit installed easily.
Kohler is the best and is worth every dime; especially in an essential area like the kitchen!

Exceeded expectations!
Both the quality of the faucet and the shipping time exceeded my expectations. I placed the order on Saturday evening, and I received the faucets Tuesday morning. The faucet and sprayer were both higher quality than other similarly priced faucets at big box retailers. I am also very pleased with the look of the faucet. It looks very expensive. Nicely made, easy to install
As others have remarked, it arrived quickly. It was far less fussy to install than the faucet it was replacing. The installation instructions are brief and clear. The important parts are metal, but the "brushed nickel" is plastic. This is not a problem with a product that is well made, and I am satisfied with this faucet. It has a solid turn-off, and the swivel of the faucet arm is tight. The hose of the sprayer is a transparent plastic tube without a weight, so it doesn't retract as easily as our old stainless hose with weight, but we expect the plastic to relax with time. It has such a powerful spray that we don't use it at full force. I especially like the fact that the filter can be removed without tools, just twist it off. Our old faucet required a wrench for this task. It is a handsome looking fixture. We were tired of paying more than things are worth, especially with plumbing. We looked in the $200-$300 range and didn't see anything we liked better than this. This is elegant and works well. And we saved a bundle.

Beautiful, sturdy and a great value
I was pleasantly surprised to find something so nice-looking at so low a price, and bought it based on the good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. It was fairly easy to install and looks beautiful in our kitchen. Washing dishes is easier with the height of this faucet, and the sprayer is quite strong. As other reviewers noted, the shipping was fast; it was in our possession within 4 days of ordering. One note about the sprayer-- it's a good idea to shake it out after using, as if you don't, a few drops of water will accumulate in it and can spill over onto your sink edge. Not a big deal at all, but that simple step can save you from having to go back and wipe the sink down if you're obsessive like me!
I'm glad to have found this faucet, as I know we'd have spent well over $200 for something of the same quality at our local home improvement store.

Amazon service is great, product looked nice enough, but... CAUTION
The Delta Leland faucet arrived quickly and looked very nice. I also ordered a stainless D sink from Amazon in preparation for a kitchen remodel. My caution to other remodelers is to keep in mind Amazon's return policy when purchasing items for a long-term project. I thought I was being efficient by ordering my sink and faucet early in the kitchen planning process. However, by the time the countertop company was able to come to take measurements several weeks later, at which time they determined that the 3 piece faucet set would not work in the allotted space, it was almost too late to return the faucet. I actually had one remaing hour to repackage the faucet and race to UPS before my time frame for an Amazon full refund expired.

Nice faucet
This is a good looking and well functioning kitchen faucet at a good price. I had the soap dispenser positioned on the right side of the sink for washing dishes and the faucet and handle positioned in the center (of a double bowl sink). This works well. I especially like the pull-down spray feature on the faucet that I had originally doubted would be a good idea. Indeed, it saves a lot of time and makes it super easy to keep the sink clean. Good purchase!
A useful product
Amazon's response to my order for this faucet was as expected, very professional. The faucet is of high caliber and very practical. I could have installed it myself but I have a very good handy man that I trust to do a good job. He installed it very quickly and without any problems.
So far I found these problems. The instructions as usual, covered more than the faucet model I purchased. The spray head does scatter water around the sink but not too much if I keep the flow reduced. The spray head is somewhat difficult to manipulate because of the stiffness of the "flexible" tubing. Overall, the faucet is really a joy to use compared to the faucet that it replaced. I am very satisfied with it.
well-made, excellent water flow control
I am very happy with the product. It's well made and has excellent water flow control handle. The water flow out of the head is excellent in both the regular and the spray modes. The pull-down head works smoothly and the magnet helps the head return back nicely. I had this unit professionally install by a licensed plumber. I am keeping the installation receipt for possible life-time warranty parts claim. I'll recommend this product.

As would be expected, Grohe manufactures faucets of exceptional quality. This is my second Grohe faucet and was purchased for installation in an RV.

Great but....
We purchased this faucet for our kitchen remodel. We had our contractor ok our sink and faucet choices before we purchased them. The contractor said everything would work. Well it didn't. We had to buy another faucet (well the contractor did) to replace this because there was not enough room for this one. Although we tried to make it work and installed it for about a week and a half. So make sure you check that will have enough space for your faucet to fit properly. We got another Grohe faucet (K4 series) but I really don't like that as much as I liked this one. We had to replace (amazon replaced it overnight- great service!) the K4 after a weekend because the toggle switch broke on the K4. I highly recommend this faucet, it looks beautiful, is well built and probably the best value for a solid stainless steel faucet in the Grohe family.
Why make the user hold onto the spray function button?
What was Grohe thinking of when they created this Ladylux Cafe Pull-Out faucet that requires the user to hold onto the spray button while using that function. The spray aspect is an essential function of this faucet, and unlike most, if not all their other faucets with a pull-out spray head, this one does not let you click it on so you have your hands free to rinse something??? It's no wonder that another reviewer found the rubber spray button wears out. I got this model for my kitchen sink with the assumption that it worked like the similar Grohe model that I got for my prep sink. And now I'm stuck with it. I guess I can look forward to the early demise of my faucet's rubber. I got their Lady Bug pullout faucet for my prep sink. That one clicks on the spray function, it stays on until you click it again or turn the water off. Why would Grohe not do the same for this model--a more expensive one with a larger head? Go figure. Most Fabulous Faucet Ever
This faucet is fantastic. I use it with the flow handle facing forwards and not on the side. The nozzle is great, hand friendly, and slips into "spray" mode very easily. We are buying another for a different home.
Overrated and overpriced
It has good look and that is about it. I bought this for over $400 two years ago. The rubber trigger on the spray is worn and broken. The hot water and cold water making is completely rubbed off. One of the major complain I have is that the trigger for the spay head is not a toggle switch. It has to be held on to with your trigger finger so it is not hand-free. I am changing it to a Delta for 1/3 the price with all the features not available on the Grohe. I have had it with this expensive piece of junk.
