Cleaning stains from poured floors?

Nov 10, 2007 by Cymbal | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry

My grandma's house has poured floors with the pretty little flakes underneath, that was done in the l970's. The floors are in great shape, but one room has a lot of traffic and furniture marks. What would be the best way to clean these floors?

Cleaning it stain free would be next to impossible, I suggest you have to redo the floor if you really want it cleaned or just place carpet to hide stain.

What consistency is best for poured floor leveler compound?

Jul 07, 2006 by hungrypuppy | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs

levelling floor in bathroom..have 25 lb bag of dry leveler compound.
I have had to add plywood subflooring in places just to get it close. I want to ensure that when I pour, it will be wet enough to fill in the gaps and yet not too wet so as not to set up properly.

.mix to the consistency of syrup .so it will self level also take a strait edge with a level on top of the straight edge to find your low spots .and fill in accordingly

how to repair badly poured concrete?

May 18, 2008 by Verly | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)

i am a decent diy guy at my own house, but my friend, who is blind, needs help with his own house. mostly stuff i can do easily, like drywall and fence issues, but he needs help with concrete- he has a steel frame with poured concrete floors entrance stairwell and small porch, like five by four, and it's crumbling away, the surface is disintegrating. no cracks, but falling apart. doesn't much matter what it looks like, but what can i do to preserve the present structure as long as possible? it was only laid three years ago and now he's tracking concrete into his house! thanks!

Go to Home Depot, ask for the "filler and surface" for concrete repair, it shouldn't take much more then a small from for this. Make sure you have all the loose stuff off and cleaned, wet it some before pouring.
