Where can I find more decorative lighting for my arts and crafts house?
Jun 16, 2006 by gardenpartygirl | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I want a more formal look than typical bar lights.
Lamps plus, but you will probably have to special order. They have an online catalog at www.lampsplus.com. You could also look in Home Decorators catalog online, they are reasonably priced and have unique designs.

Anyone looking for decorative outdoor lighting other than solar?
Jun 12, 2007 by Tracy | Posted in Garden & Landscape
Have never had good luck with reliable solar lighting and cheap plastic coverings that can't stand up to elements, so would like to recommend low voltage, hand-made designs from solid copper, for paths, gardens, decks and water features. Check out CopperScapes.com
Thanks for the input! You have just answered a question for me!

Where do I buy Christmas / decorative string lights this time of year?!?
Mar 02, 2007 by B | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
Does anyone know of any actual stores that sell Christmas lights / decorative string lights / etc. this time of year? I'm looking for white, blue and green. If i find any, I need them by tomorrow. Thanks!
I NEED THEM TOMORROW, so the internet is not an option. Thanks!
We have a store in our area called Party Time and another called Party Central. Both carry wedding and other party supplies, like strings of Christmas tree lights. I've really only seen them carry white, red and green, however, but maybe a party supply house in your area also carries the blue. Give the party suppliers in your area a call before you start running around.

Anyone know how to make a decorative light panel for fluorescent fixture?
Nov 22, 2007 by Just A User | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I found some really cool panels that go on the fluorescent light fixtures common in offices.
Here's what they look like:

Does anyone know where I could find out how to make these for myself? I'd love to design my own, but I want to do it as inexpensively as possible while still having it look good.
I have 6 square shaped light panels which I too was looking to enhance the lighting and making it more attractive in the kitchen. For fall I took orange silk fall leaves and green palm fronds and layed them ontop of each panel. So when the light is on they show through.

Are there cheaper versions of SkyScapes, the decorative light diffusers you see in offices and classrooms?
Jul 07, 2008 by littleammie | Posted in Other - Education
These are the things that make your fluorescent light panels look like skylights. I'm wanting to use them in my 3rd grade classroom but they are soooooo expensive. I've only seen them for $40-$60 and I need 9 for my room. Does anyone know if there are similar products available at a lower cost?
