My doctor recently diagnosed me with Seasonal Affected Disorder. He suggested that I buy purchase a full spectrum lighting to make my house more "sunny" year-round. Does anyone know where I can find a full spectrum light?

When natural light hits your retina, it is transmitted to an area of your brain called the pineal body. The pineal is the brain’s center for the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates daily body rhythms, most notably the day/night cycle (circadian rhythms). Normal melatonin levels are important for natural sleep cycles and proper immune system function.
During the summer, getting the proper amount of natural light is as easy as taking a 10 to 15-minute walk. Without sunglasses over your eyes, natural, full spectrum light easily passes into the eye, striking the retina, and positively affecting your brain.
In the winter, you spend the majority of your time indoors. When, weather permitting, you go outdoors, you protect yourself from the cold with clothes and sunglasses. A 10 to 15-minute walk provides a fraction of the natural light exposure. In order to augment your natural light exposure and maintain a healthy hormone balance, you need a light with the same spectrum as daylight.

Like for example whats a full spectrum basking light for as bearded dragon..what does full spectrum mean and what does it do?
are there full spectrum uv lights?
is it needed?
where can i buy it?
In the case you are looking at, full spectrum means it has wavelengths throughout the UVA spectrum (these lights tend to look faintly reddish). It is also a marketing gimmick to try to trick people into thinking it has UVB, which it does not.
In some animals it raises the activity level of the animal to have a full spectrum basking light, but this doesn't seem to be the case with Bearded Dragons. So it isn't really needed at all. In fact, when I tried one just for kicks my Beardie actually did less well under it than under a standard household bulb.
If you really want one, though, you can get it at just about any petstore.

It's much better, and more natural.
Nothing to do with costs. Rain diffracts light, so you end up seeing a spectrum; a rainbow. This would be dangerous at night, because you would only be able to see lots of rainbows! Using standard sodium (yellow) lights keeps everything the same colour, which means that you can see further and more clearly than you would with a full spectrum light.

There are a few specifics you should be aware of before you do.
If there is glass or Plexiglas between the sunlight and the reptile then the UV rays are blocked, glass and Plexiglas block UV rays. Use netting or some other type or breathable material.
Make sure there is plenty of water and shade for the reptile so it doesn't overheat when outside.
I take my reptiles outside often in the summer and they seem to thrive.
